Kevin Gallagher is a Systems Administrator assisting FPF with management of infrastructure and operations. He is a writer, activist and certified GNU/Linux expert who is enthusiastic about privacy, security and freedom of information. In 2012 he created Free Barrett Brown, a support network, advocacy organization and legal defense fund formed for the purpose of assisting a prominent jailed American journalist. In his spare time he also works with Transparency Toolkit and Library Freedom Project.
His work has been published in outlets such as The Daily Beast, The Guardian, Huffington Post, VICE's Motherboard, New York Observer and Daily Dot. He studied Literature and Communications at the University of Massachusetts.
