Lily Anne Hall

Lily is a newsroom support engineer for Freedom of the Press Foundation, providing technical support to organizations using SecureDrop. They are a security researcher and software engineer with a background in distributed systems. She has conducted security audits and contributed code to projects including IPFS, Zcash, Tahoe-LAFS, and others. Before transplanting to the Pacific Northwest, she founded Counterpoint, a radical hackerspace in north Atlanta. There she held weekly threat modeling and countersurveillance workshops for activists, and taught free introduction to programming classes for groups historically excluded from software engineering.
