The UpTake was recognized as a top-ten website of 2008 by the Center for Public Integrity and has won a number of awards from the Society of Professional Journalists. They've had huge success in bringing transparency to state and local government in Minnesota for five years, and their ultimate goal is to build the same infrastructure to all fifty states.
