John is an engineering manager at Freedom of the Press Foundation, leading the SecureDrop team. Prior to FPF, he worked as a software engineer at 18F within the U.S. federal government, at Cornell University Library, and as a startup co-founder. His career is dedicated to transparency, open knowledge, and open source software in support of democracy.
