Justin Troutman

Justin Troutman is the Project Manager at Freedom of the Press Foundation, with a specialization in applied cryptography and user experience. In this capacity, he has published (IEEE Security & Privacy, USENIX), lectured (Google Tech Talk, Microsoft BlueHat, Duke TIP), workshoped (Cal Poly SLO's EPIC, Facebook's Hacktober and Hacker Girls Summer Camp, r00tz Asylum), written (MIT Technology Review, Duke Reporters' Lab, Microsoft TechNet Magazine), and opined (Ars Technica, The Intercept, The Parallax, CNET, ZDNet). He's currently building PocketBlock, a gamified visual language for realizing "cryptographic engineering for everyone".
