Leila Barghouty

Leila is the newsletter editor at Freedom of the Press Foundation. As a member of the editorial team, she helps synthesize FPF’s reporting and updates to the U.S. Press Freedom Tracker. She has previously worked on open source data projects like the Open Policing Project at Stanford and the California Reporting Project. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Stanford University and a law student at Syracuse University, focused on national security.
