Signal to help synchronize previous chats on new devices

Picture this: An infomercial plays, and someone opens an app. It’s Signal, the encrypted messaging app! They want to access their Signal messages on their computer, so they go through the process of linking their account to this desktop device. But imagine their dismay — they can’t import their most recent conversations from their phone into their fresh new desktop Signal app. Hnnggg! They throw their phone across the room and crumple up into a corner, thinking about the state of the world. “Honestly,” they say to themselves, “in the bigger scheme of things, this is not the biggest problem, but … Can someone just … Make this problem go away?” They look directly at the camera; the light momentarily returns to their eyes.

In a whimsical voice, the narrator erupts, “Does this ever happen to you? Well, not anymore!”

Signal is testing a new feature to help users optionally import the last 45 days of media and messages to a new device! Wow, read more here.
